4/8/2024 0 Comments King tempo trombone review![]() ![]() Woodwind Brasswind has good student model t-bones, but are around 2-3x the original cost, so i found a Yamaha YSL-354 which is in mint condition and is half the cost of the same model on wwbw. I’ve also used yamaha instruments(YTR-6335, YEP-321) for a while, and i can trust them with the build quality of this horn. On Reverb, Someone is selling a YSL-352S(older model yamaha t-bone in Silver-Plate) for around $300US, and it looks like it’s in great condition, there are some scratches, a somewhat large dent on the crook/tuning-slide of the trombone bell, and some tarnish that can be easily fixed with Tarni-Shield. Thomann sells a Jazz trombone, which is fairly cheap and has good reviews, but it seems like a resell of a bad chinese horn, and may not be consistent and in good quality. I’ve settled down on 3 trombones that look promising. So i’ve decided to lurk around on reverb, thomann, and wwbw. Hey all, i am willing to buy myself a brass trombone to start playing the trombone, i currently have an Allora Plastic Trombone, and while it’s somewhat playable(with someone who already has knowledge on brass instruments), it has intonation issues, has a slow and noisy slide, more bad things etc. ![]()
